The East Cabilis Fishing Team

While not one of the most technically challenging pieces I did, this one holds a special place in my mind just for the feeling it captured. Before MMORPGs became end-game rushes, players spent a lot of time exploring the space, options, and abilities that this new format allowed. Large community hubs and gathering areas created organic social opportunities, sometimes even while fishing. East Cabilis, a zone in the capital city of the Iksar that hosted half of the class guilds as well as the ever-important bank, was bifurcated by a water and sewer system that gave the proficient race of swimmers a great travel option, but also a place to catch fish, rusty daggers, and tattered footwear. Ultimately, this painting aimed to represent an innocence and childlike wonder with the novelty of an open world, even in just casting a few lines.
