Air Elemental to Tunnel

"Elemental to tunnel!" was a common phrase broadcast over the /shout channel of the East Commons - a zone where the infamous EC Tunnel and the first 100% player-driven MMORPG free-market was established. Some might argue that it actually began in Felwithe, depending on timing in the original Live servers, but all would agree that the EC Tunnel is where it found its permanent home. While the tunnel might have been filled with many different races and factions that couldn't enter each other's cities, they could all spend money, and they could all sell gear. The zone was also home to various mobs and NPCs, with a few becoming famous for their lethality. Outside of the Griffin and specific guards, the Air Elemental might have claimed the most amount of lives in the zone. Not only because it was slightly higher level than most of the new characters coming in from Freeport, but also because it would also ambush them by casting invisibility on itself before patrolling. Many a player was happy to take their own vicarious revenge on the ambiguous-looking creature, regardless of any altruistic effort for their fellow gamer.
