A Froglok

A simple name for simple looking creature, with some incredibly complicated lore. These humanoid frog creatures populate many of the starting areas for a variety of races in Norrath. They start as tads, which you can fight, and continue all the way up a ridiculously powerful scale bridging both life and undeath, and contain some of Classic Eras most infamous items and weapons.

They have an entire kingdom that was once great but is now split into alive and dead sections, each one sprawling for what feels like miles. And this great kingdom, named Guk, was once the Trolls. The history of this location makes the Frogloks out to be the good guys - a nomadic race that landed on the shores of Innothule, who were horrified by the cannibalistic and blood thirty trolls, and eventually stole the Trolls' own kingdom from them. Eventually, a powerful Troll Shaman came to take the kingdom back, and ended up invoking the power of one of the game's deities to defeat them. That invocation is what created the lower half of Guk, full of the wandering undead corpses of that Troll's victims.

There is so much happening in that story, and it's one about territory ownership that isn't that dissimilar to the Iksar. Perhaps this is why the developers, in later iterations, would let the Froglok join the other humanoid-animal hybrids as a playable race.
